Recently, I became aware of this woman's CRPS/RSD journey and the fund raiser that her family is doing for her so that she can have the Ketamine IV. Below find information on this benefit fund-raiser.
We are holding a benefit concert for my sister, Brittany Fields, on January 13, 2011 from 7:00-9:30 PM at the Kelsey Theatre, which is located on Mercer County College's Main Campus in West Windsor, NJ. My sister, Brittany, who is 33 years old, suffers from full body RSD, and she is completely bedridden. My family needs to raise $15,000 in order to pay for her to receive an intensive Ketamine Infusion, which is not covered by insurance. The concert will consist of original rock music written by my father and performed by a variety of artists. My father played with many famous artists including Jimi Hendrix, Paul Butterfield, and The Chamber's Brothers, and 100% of the proceeds from the concert will go to Brittany's medical treatments. We will also be bringing in guest speakers and providing more information about RSD in order to raise awareness.
